ZSE Holdings group chief executive Justin Bgoni has been appointed vice president of the African Securities Exchanges Association (ASEA).
His appointment is with effect from 2 October 2026.
“Working alongside newly appointed leadership, Bgoni will help guide ASEA’s strategic objectives to scale African capital markets globally and leverage technology-driven market infrastructure,” ASEA said.
As ZSE Holdings CEO, Bgoni – a former chief financial officer of the New Zealand Stock Exchange, and management consultant at McKinsey & Company – oversees the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange, the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange, and the Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange.
He also serves as the interim chief executive of the Victoria Falls International Financial Centre.
Bgoni’s election to executive leadership at ASEA comes as member exchanges across the continent deepen collaboration, enhance inter-exchange liquidity, and advocate for seamless cross-border investment frameworks.
Following his appointment, Bgoni said: “Capital markets have a pivotal role to play in unlocking economic growth, facilitating sustainable investments, and strengthening regional connectivity across Africa.”
ASEA is the premier association of securities exchanges in the continent, dedicated to promoting mutual cooperation, expanding capital market infrastructure, and facilitating cross-border investment across the continent.
