ZSE Holdings profit up 276%

Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) Holdings Limited reported a profit
after tax of US$1.7 million for the six months to 30 June 2026, up 275.8
percent increase on the same period last year, according to interim results
released Monday.

The group’s board chair Caroline Sandura said the during the
period the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange (ZSE) “surged, establishing itself
among the region’s leading performers”, while the Victoria Falls Stock Exchange
“sustained its momentum, driven by additional listings”.

She noted the ZSE All Share Index reached 417.81 points,
representing “a robust 50 percent gain year-to-date.”

Sandura reported that total turnover on the ZSE reached
“ZWG 7.6 billion (US$293 million)” in the first half, a 141 percent
increase on the second half of 2025. On the VFEX, turnover hit “US$166.4
million, up 334 percent from H2 2025.”

Revenue for the group rose 39.6 percent to just under US$5
million, she said, while EBITDA jumped 196.9 percent.

Sandura confirmed the board had “approved an interim
dividend of $339,921.80 which translates to 0.33 US cents per share”.

Looking ahead, Sandura said the group’s July launch of the
Zimbabwe Entrepreneurship Exchange positioned it “well for the second half
of the year”.

She described ZEEX as designed to give small and medium
enterprises a structured, proportionate route to formal capital.

On VFEX, Sandura said five new listings had
“contributed to improved market activity and liquidity” and forecast
“at least three more listings before year-end”.

The results noted an impairment loss of US$106,085 on the
group’s internally developed Commodities Exchange platform, after management
determined the asset’s carrying amount exceeded its recoverable value.

Total assets grew to US$6.8 million from US$4.3 million at
the end of 2025. Retained earnings nearly doubled to US$3.7 million.
