Zimbabwe’s energy regulator has increased fuel prices to US$1.95 per litre for diesel (50), from US$1.87, and US$1.96 for petrol (E20) – up three cents, as escalating conflicts and Middle East tensions continue to disrupt transit routes and global crude supplies.
The Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority (Zera) said the latest fuel prices are valid for a fortnight and that “government interventions continue to cushion consumers from the impact of global geopolitical developments”.
This comes as fuel prices had eased in recent weeks, following a peace deal between the US and Iran.
