The Securities and Exchange Commission of Zimbabwe (SecZim) has appointed Tichaona Mushambadope as acting chief executive.
His appointment is with effect from 1 May 2026.
The Commission said Mushambadope – a member of the SecZim board of commissioners since July 2024 – “brings a forward-looking approach to leveraging technologies to enhance market efficiency, transparency, and investor protection within Zimbabwe’s evolving financial ecosystem”.
“Appropriate governance arrangements will apply during his tenure as acting chief executive, in line with applicable corporate governance principles,” SecZim said.
It said his focus will be on “modernising capital markets through digital assets, fintech innovation, and regulatory transformation”.
According to SecZim, Mushambadope is a techpreneur and executive who draws on experience across Zimbabwe, Mozambique, and Papua New Guinea.
