Africa Albida Tourism (Albida) is expanding its footprint in Zimbabwe’s premier tourism hub with the launch of a new all-inclusive luxury boutique retreat – Albida-Victoria Falls – scheduled to open on 1 September 2026.
The new development – under Albida’s Victoria Falls Safari Collection – will introduce an exclusive high-end product to the destination, featuring 13 private villas designed to cater for growing demand for upscale, spacious accommodation in Victoria Falls.
The hospitality group said the retreat would become the signature property within its portfolio, strengthening both its market offering and Victoria Falls’ appeal as a premium travel destination.
“This new retreat is a carefully planned addition to our portfolio,” Albida director Ross Kennedy said.
“It responds to the demand for private accommodation in Victoria Falls and speaks to the modern high-end traveller that prioritises space and a genuine sense of place,” he said.
About four kilometres from the Victoria Falls rainforest, Albida – Victoria Falls is designed as an intimate sanctuary blending privacy, luxury and nature.
The retreat will include 13 villas, among them two two-bedroom units, each with generous living space and a private plunge pool.
Guests will also receive guided access to Victoria Falls and curated destination experiences as part of the all-inclusive package.
The development takes its name from the Albida tree, known for enriching the soil beneath its canopy, with the company positioning the property as a place of renewal, relaxation and deeper connection with the surrounding environment.
Albida managing director Nigel Frost said the project represented a strategic investment in the continued growth of Zimbabwe’s tourism capital.
“Albida – Victoria Falls strengthens our premium offering and supports the growth of Victoria Falls as a premium destination for discerning travellers, while upholding the high standards and exceptional hospitality that define the Victoria Falls Safari Collection,” Frost said.
Victoria Falls has increasingly positioned itself as a luxury and adventure tourism centre, attracting both regional and international travellers seeking world-class accommodation near one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World.
The Victoria Falls Safari Collection already operates several flagship properties in the resort town, including Victoria Falls Safari Lodge, Victoria Falls Safari Club, Victoria Falls Safari Suites, Lokuthula Lodges, The Boma – Dinner & Drum Show, Victoria Falls Safari Spa and Queen Nandi Place.
The addition of Albida – Victoria Falls marks the latest investment in the destination’s hospitality sector, as operators seek to diversify offerings and capture the growing global market for boutique luxury travel.
Albida said the new retreat would set “a new benchmark for refined luxury” within its portfolio while reinforcing Victoria Falls’ status as one of Southern Africa’s leading tourism destinations.
