Donald Trump says he has had “very good talks” with Iran over the past 24 hours and it’s “very possible we’ll make a deal”.
Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokesman says the country has not yet issued a formal response to the US’s latest proposal but is continuing to exchange diplomatic messages via mediator Pakistan.
Trump paused the US military’s “Project Freedom” operation to open the Strait of Hormuz, due to “great progress” being made towards a “complete and final agreement with the representatives of Iran”.
